Today Dr. Kayla King (Prof. Kayla King) was appointed Canada Excellence Research Chair in Evolutionary Dynamics of Host-Pathogen Interactions. Her research aims to better understand the evolution of infection and immunity in a changing world.

To avoid autoimmunity against the microbiome, plants use PSKR1-mediated regulation of SA signalling to tune the growth–defence balance in response to microbiota.
