For those following my adventures back into the dating pool. Tonight's date got moved to last night. Had a great time. Went much better than my date on Tuesday. Texted him this morning saying I enjoyed the date. His reply: "I didn't realize it was a date, but def had fun." A win?

Further adventures in dating after losing 175 lbs... Had a 3rd date lined up for Fri. He just cancelled. He saw a shirtless pic a few days ago, then went MIA. So, for those keeping track, 3 dates this week: 1 awful date, 1 date that he thought wasn't a date, & 1 cancelled date.🫤

Just got home from a date. This one was definitely the best one since I ventured back into the dating arena. Very cute guy and he already texted me post-date. So, definitely going in the win column. Plus, I was feeling cute.

1 year post-surgery. Down 175 lbs overall. A lot of loss, but have gained so much. Mobility, confidence, passion, trust... The journey isn't over. It never ends. It's hard not to measure success based on happiness, but when you suffer from depression, happiness is fleeting.

Prepping some veggies for the brisket I'm making tomorrow. My first brisket. A little nervous, but feeling optimistic. A good place to start is some mise en place. 😁

It's only just after 12. I've got my brisket finishing in the oven, made roasted potatoes & tzimmes, AND prepped broccoli for making parmesan crusted smashed broccoli. I did it all while babysitting a 3 yo. We're hosting the family for an early Passover tonight. How's your day?
