The standards are neither mandatory, nor tied to funding. There is no way to ensure adherence. There is no carrot and no stick as we have for other health care. Legislation would easily correct that. #lipstickonapig #LTC Canadians4LTC cbc.ca/news/politics/…

National standards for long-term care need to be more than a suggestion. Without enforcing these standards, that’s exactly what they are. We are calling on the ⁦CanadianPM⁩ to make these standards mandatory by tying them to federal funding for LTC cbc.ca/amp/1.6730780
