Thanks to Deirdre Costigan MP for spending two hours litter picking #SouthallRec with us as part of our #GBSpringClean ‘all parks’ project. By Sunday 6/4 we will have litter picked all 146 parks in LB Ealing.

So grateful to Jags and #southall parkrun UK volunteers for supporting our #GBSpringClean ‘all parks’ project by litter picking Southall Park.

Our member Andrew recently hired a skip for house/garden rubbish & was surprised to be told he could not put his old mattress in it. He found out why & raises a v interesting point re sale & disposal of mattresses. Might this be one reason so many mattresses are dumped??

One (Super)man, 4 hours, 53 bags rubbish, same volume large unbaggables all removed from the #GrandUnionCanal towpath in #Southall for disposal by Ealing Council (to whom grateful thanks). CCTV on your land would likely prove a useful deterrent, Canal & River Trust

Today 7 Canners cleaned our 132nd park out of Ealing’s total of 147 - our #GBSpringClean 2025 project. Boles Meadow in Hanwell is gorgeous, if a bit smelly due to local sewage misconnection (s). 80-90 heavy bags of campers’/drinkers’ rubbish removed plus many large items.

We’re on course to have litter picked all #LondonBoroughofEaling’s parks by midnight tomorrow for our #GBSpringClean 2025 project. Thanks to everyone who has helped!

The binfrastructure in Ravenor Park needs a rapid and serious rethink. People are clearly trying to do the right thing.

Target Roundabout westbound A40 sliproad. Huge pile of rubbish collected from the road and vegetation. Some inaccessible. We’ll return when the vegetation has died back.
