Council letter tells a 56-year-old woman due to be evicted on 1 May that she should be able to 'function reasonably well' if she ends up on the streets.

This is terrible.

And the govt is set to criminalize rough sleeping.

What has the country become?

If you get PIP (or any other benefits).

Youโ€™re allowed to spend that money on whatever you choose to. You donโ€™t have to justify it. Itโ€™s your money.

And trust me, disabled people are usually far more careful and considerate with their money compared to most abled folk.

Pls RT: 34yrs ago today I made a formal complaint against the 5 GPs. It was 13 days after Robbie's death.

My serious complaints were covered up by West Glam FHSA in Dec 1990 & then by the Welsh Office in 1992 when there was collusion between the GPs, officials & appeal panel!๐Ÿ˜ข

Dear Mel Stride,

PIP has nothing to do with employment.

PIP is for moderate to severe disability and is v difficult to qualify for.

Noone gets PIP 'for' depression or anxiety. It is based on a functional analysis.

Stop playing smoke and mirrors with people's lives.

I keep thinking about the nerve it must take to vote through Tory policies for years and then offer yourself up as Labourโ€™s NHS adviser. Like an arsonist burning down your house and then handing you an invoice for the rebuild.

Just to say there's no on Canary this week. Reminding myself to fill my own cup first before i can do good for the community.

My piece about the UN report on the way the gov is treating disabled people though is here thecanary.co/global/world-aโ€ฆ

Please.... everyone... fight with disabled people against this.

PIP is literally a lifesaver for many people - both in and out of work.

Whatever the fuck they're trying WILL NOT WORK, and it'll further harm people already disproportionately in poverty.

The more I think about it the more it enrages me that an Israeli official can get a British journalist fired from a British media outlet

Weโ€™ll wait for the outrage from all those arguing for British Sovereignty

This can happen at eg appts also

There is eg nothing positive about not being treated at all based on actual symptoms/sent home on 'the good news' is we have pain suppressant medication basis

Not when pain itself is not the issue

This isn't good news

It isn't even belief

Yes because that makes everything better...

Abusers consistently getting away with it and being able to go 'let's move on' whilst survivors have to live with the trauma forever, and have it rubbed in.

The fundamental problem is lack of honesty and openness with ordinary members of the public.

If you don't have the money to pay barristers and solicitors to fight your case, the NHS know they are safe from sanction, so they do what they damn well please!

You think transitioning from Camhs to adult is a dangerous gap/drop now? Imagine it when CYP start telling everyone they've got a Pd and are going to get intense therapy...
