Good to see Essex Roads Policing acting on this sort of inconsiderate driving - driver fined £482 and three points for splashing a pedestrian.

We think that there were 18 #KidicalMass rides for this weekend’s national action for #SafeStreetsNow , with a total of 1707 riders.

Our rides are fun, but there’s an important message:

We need safe streets for kids and their families to cycle around their towns and cities.

Don a helmet and high vis, buy insurance, have flashing LEDs front and rear, stop at every red light and always stay in your lane… it won’t make a blind bit of difference to how our fellow drivers treat you.

But reminding them they’re being watched will (usually)… #cycling
