Gov. Bill Lee What if instead of helping some students leave their "under-served schools" (while ignoring most of the students there) we - and just hear me out here - stopped under-serving those schools?

I must impart to all of you the best advice I have ever been given. It works for everyone regardless of ideology. “Listen. Listen to people’s words. Listen to people’s actions. They tell you everything you need to know.” Notice the advice above didn’t say judge. Just listen.

A colleague taught me to always start the first day with math, and then spend the time students are working going around the room and asking students their names. That way you never start the year getting someone's name wrong.

We’re excited to help everyone using Nolensville Pk be safer, as Nashville Department of Transportation uses local funds I fought for to match a federal Safer Streets and Roads for All grant. We’re keeping teachers safe as they try to be less traffic thanks to support from Secretary Pete Buttigieg and U.S. Department of Transportation.

As I move into a week since my Peabody College student teacher left, I am grateful for the work that he did in the classroom. I used to find teaching proofs a challenge to help students understand. Now I don't. I learned a lot from him. I hoped he learned some from me. #grateful

Two things I often say in my classroom: 1. It's okay if you're wrong. I just want to know what you're thinking. 2. Remember, we're on the same team. I'm here to help.
