The shape of things to come... Crew of HMS Glasgow - the 1st of 8 new Type 26 frigates - visited Royal Air Force CXX Squadron to see P8 Poseidon aircraft... which they will be operating with in a few years' time to keep hostile submarines at bay.

#TeamLossie Poseidon is assisting the search for a missing yacht and its captain following a request from HM Coastguard Primarily a sub-hunting aircraft, the P8 has the sensors & equipment to search wide areas of ocean quickly in a secondary search and rescue role.

Yesterday, the Squadron formed the escort guard for the Honours of Scotland as they travelled from Edinburgh Castle to St Giles Cathedral, where a National Service of Thanksgiving and Dedication to mark Their Majesty’s recent Coronation took place.
