We’re in the South Downs NP for the next 3 days supporting young people from Elthorne Park High School (Ealing) with a Silver The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award qualifying expedition. Participants will have plenty of opportunities for personal, social, & educative development, whilst having plenty of fun 😊

We’ve been in Wolverhampton today, delivering another Scout First Response first aid course for leaders from West Mercia Scouts District. As previously, 24 delegates attended to renew existing skills and knowledge or, if their first course, acquiring new and important skills 😊

Today, we’re at The Royal Sutton School (Sutton Coldfield) supporting young people with Bronze The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award classroom-based expedition training. Lots of learning to take place in a positive & supportive environment, as the participants develop new skills for their future expeditions 😊

We are in the Cannock Chase area for the next 2 days, supporting young people from Staffordshire University Academy (Hednesford) with a Bronze The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award qualifying expedition. Today we were in Wolverhampton delivering another Scout Association First Response first aid course for leaders from West Mercia Scouts. A further 23 delegates attended to renew existing skills and knowledge or, if their first course, acquiring new and important skills 😊

Our ‘open’ Bronze and Silver The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award week starts tomorrow in the Shropshire Hills National Landscape, with participants representing many areas of the UK, including Kent, Cheshire, Avon & Somerset. For some, they will firstly undertake the required 2 days of expedition training 😊

This week, we’re running our popular Gold The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Photography & Conservation Residential in the Shropshire Hills National Landscape. As usual, we’re hosting a ‘full house’ with young people taking part from all over the UK and who will have a rewarding & enjoyable experience 😊

Split into 2 cohorts; one will be classroom-based today, then instructor-led navigation training tomorrow; and the opposite for cohort 2. Lots of learning to take place 😊

We’re running a 2-day Outdoor First Aid course this weekend at Blackwell Adventure (Worcestershire). 24 delegates, including The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Leaders, outdoor activity instructors, and members of various community organisations 😊

St Giles School (Retford) joins our ever expanding The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award family, and we’re looking forward to supporting their Bronze participants during 2026 for the Expedition section. The young people we’ll be engaging with have a range of additional needs but plenty of enthusiasm & drive 😊

Tonight is our Christmas Party at the NEC in Birmingham for ‘Party on the Piste’. For us, it’s an opportunity to say ‘thank you’ to our fantastic staff team who have positively supported, empowered, & inspired young people during their The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award expeditions throughout this year ☺️🧑‍🎄
