Our crews have been working through the morning to repair significant damage following last night’s severe weather. At midnight, we had 6,500 customers without power. We are currently down to 10% of that. Our teams are currently replacing 12 broken poles. More information 👇

Current Status: • 26 separate incidents affecting 245 customers. • Hill Street remains our largest active outage (171 customers). Crews have been working since early this morning to replace two broken poles. • We are tracking 13 broken poles across the system.

Later this afternoon, we must temporarily de-energize a line to safely repair a damaged pole on Hampshire Pike. • Affected Areas: Valewood, Rolling Fields, Idlewild, Industrial Park Rd & Santa Fe Pike • Estimated Duration: Approx. 1 hour, provided repairs go as planned.

If you’re headed down Hampshire Pike near the Williamsport Pike split, please exercise extreme caution as CPWS crews replace a pole along the roadside.

We’re aware of a large outage affecting customers in the southeast area of our service territory. Crews are now getting out to these areas and others where outages have been identified.

Update:

6:30 a.m. UPDATE: The majority of outages have been reported, but intermittent outages remain. Our crews are continuing to investigate and repair those areas.

Update: A pole caught fire early this morning, causing an outage on our system. Crews were able to safely extinguish the blaze and restore power to our system.
