This year’s summit focused on the numerous barriers on the path to homeownership and the policies needed to sustain equitable homeownership.

FAC'a affiliate NHN Homeownership Program Manager Anthony Coker was honored to moderate a panel on racist barriers to homeownership at the Center for NYC Neighborhoods Summit this morning. This panel includes experts from banking, housing counseling, appraisal, government, etc.

“We lost over the last decade and a half over 200,000 Black homeowners in NYC because it was too unaffordable for them; and they went to greener pastures. But we can’t afford [to lose these communities]… ” says Adolfo Carrión, Jr in today’s fireside chat.
