Leonard Library has been closed for renovations since 2022. The library has undergone roof restoration and a new HVAC installation - the project is expected to finish late-July!

Yesterday I gathered leaders from NYSDOT, North Brooklyn Parks Alliance and reps from Lincoln Restler NYS Senator Julia Salazar & NY State Senator Kristen Gonzalez for a walk-through of Under the K Bridge Park, the gorgeous and innovative seven acre open space on a formerly abandoned site beneath the Kosciuszko Bridge.

Earlier this week, in celebration of Earth Day, I was able to join the Sure We Can team for their neighborhood clean up!

Sure We Can is a non-profit that focuses on waste management, sustainability, and community building. Thank you for all the hard work you do year round!

The overdue report from the Child Care Availability Task Force is scheduled to be released Friday by the Hochul administration.

This year, the majority of school districts in NYC had more families applying for 3K than kids who actually enrolled.

Unless we expand seats in majority or NYC neighborhoods, families will not have access to 3K seat in their own community.
