It's day 2 of National Oceanography Centre workshop where stakeholders from Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines are discussing larval connectivity modelling and predictive, broad-scale, benthic habitat mapping to inform marine spatial planning.

With CME Prog. work concluded we are taking a look back at how 🇬🇧 has been helping SIDS identify the potential of, and developing their marine economies in a sustainable, resilient, and integrated way. Over the next weeks we will be sharing the thoughts of key stakeholders.

Our work in 🇯🇲 saw a close working relationship with Jamaica’s Maritime Authority. DG Peter Brady shared his thoughts on the relevance, benefits and legacy of work. Jamaica is 1 of 8 Caribbean SIDS that benefitted from the 🇬🇧 CME Programme Judith Slater UKinCaribbean 🇬🇧

We worked closely with Coastal Zone Management Authority & Institute BZ on delivering the CME Programme in Belize on the scientific work and development of the country's Maritime Economy Plan which we expect to be Cabinet endorsed and launched soon. DG MARAD Guyana has described the CME Prog. as Strategic & Innovative. Through UK Hydrographic Office we have provided support to the Maritime Agency and we are also working with Government to develop a Maritime Economy Plan which we anticipate will be Cabinet endorsed and launched soon.
