Today at the #Freedom Monument in Riga we opened the photo exhibition of Latvia’s 20 years #NATO membership.

NATO and 🇱🇻 have undergone unprecedented change.

But one thing will never change: freedom will always triumph over oppression.

Great to be in 🇱🇻, a highly valued #NATO Ally for the last 20 years, with important contributions to our Alliance.

Honoured to meet President Edgars Rinkēvičs at Riga Castle - I thanked him for Latvia’s leadership in defending our shared values of democracy and freedom.

Today, a group of anti-NATO protesters disrupted a speaking event in Amsterdam. Incidentally, the right to protest is exactly the freedom NATO fights to protect.

True to my motto “expect the unexpected” we found an alternative way to do the interview. Stay tuned.
