It was wonderful to finally visit Dairy Pit. It's the subject of a great body of folklore. The water is riddled with spirits, and lost souls still wander nearby. Locals report ominous feelings, and other tales talk of a mermaid who once guarded the depths. #folklore #Shropshire

Eyton's Antiquities of Shropshire states that in 1292, a local miller was crushed by his own millstones. The stones were charged for his murder, resulting in them being declared "Deodand"- (given to God) to be "used for pious purpose." They hold up the tower of Hope Bagot church.

Grand Tribunal completed for another year. Much #arsmagica was run and delegates came from many countries: our youngest was 8 and he played two games and had a great time! We even picked up a passer by who ended up playing in the freeform in costume. :) #gtuk24

#gtuk24 it was mainly Ars Magica but also Feng Shui, Magonomia, Trail of Cthulhu, Changeling: the Lost and Rivers of London were run. We had two Ars Magica larps and though we did not hear back from Atlas Games this year Pelgrane Press attended and supported the event.

Surprised to wake up to so much interest about Oasis! It's OK I guess as leisure centres go but a bit run down and a refit is needed but 50 million should make it the jewel of Swindon. Reopening August '26. #oasis
