Shutdown of a Raptor vacuum engine in slow motion. The engine’s nozzle is sized for use by Starship in the Earth’s upper atmosphere and outer space, so operation at sea level and low chamber pressures results in flow separation creating visible rings in the exhaust

Why in this year 2024 is there still no search engine for map layers? Either integrated with Google maps, or standalone, that indexes the web for custom map layers, .kmzs, arcgis content, etc, and allows the user to rack up tabs of layers with different transparencies, etc etc.

Why in this year 2024 is there still no search engine for maps? I want a crawler that indexes every custom Google map, .kmz, arcgis layer, etc, and lets me rack up worrying numbers of tabs with transparency controls.

Turns out all you ever needed was an impossibly enormous reusable rocket. Logistics rules all. 70 years of paper missions spending 98% of their ink trying to cram 20 lbs of stuff into a 10 lb bag. All their insights irrelevant once we build a 10000 lb bag.

This trend applies…
