Yesterday we had a rare visitor. The Brown booby (Sula leucogaster) is typically found in the Caribbean's tropical oceans and doesn't nest in the mainland U.S. They often visit Florida and California but will sometimes stray inland like this one:

We received these photos from an adult who called 911 after kids at McCracken Park noticed people passed out in a car. Lt. Combs responded & addressed the situation then took a few minutes after the call to hang out and speak with the kids to let them know we have their backs.

2-days….same road….2-tickets. One of our motorcycle officers ticketed a guy going 81mph in a 45mph zone yesterday on NW Expressway near Piedmont Road. This morning same guy going 96mph in a 55mph zone in the same area. 😳 Driving nearly twice the speed limit is dangerous.
