Recently 5th grade Ss have learned Notice and Note signposts to help notice when events in a novel are worth stopping to investigate. Today we took one signpost, the Aha moment, & journaled about Aha moments in our own lives. What big life lessons do you carry with you?

My Ss were headed on a field trip when their boat capsized on what seemed to be a deserted island! There were no adults around. Ss had to spend the last day of math class working as a team to survive Emoji Island. What better way to practice EOY math skills?
