After reading the letter to Saks from Callard et al, I sent Saks this:

Maria and I both wrote to the Standing Committee on Health to provide some arguments against the flavour ban. We both received identical responses from one of the members of the committee today:

It's a force that can't be stopped! The letters keep coming in -- 36,912 as of tonight! Quebec had a slowish start, but could change colour with a bit of a push!

And they keep on coming!

Received Saks' report on the 2d review of the TVPA. Scope creep: it's now nicotine. Focus on "approved" cessation methods. Little mention of vaping -- some input (likely mine) discarded as it wasn't "relevant". Adult cessation stalled, but no new ideas on how to fix that.

In Ontario, Doug Ford says that convenience stores are responsible; they reliably refuse to sell tobacco to kids & can be trusted with alcohol. So why can't they be trusted with nicotine pouches? Something's strange.

Oh wow -- it's depressing. I put a comment on an article about a parent who smokes and vapes. I suggested that he might be trying to stop smoking and this would be a good thing. One person agreed, but I got 12 quick downvotes. People have been brainwashed.

Am I correct? Associate Minister of Mental Health, Ya'ara Saks just resigned! If so, one can't blame her -- Holland walked all over her portfolio.
