Not all disabled people have helpers.
Disabled people should not have to bring their own access.
Lifting a wheelchair user is not access.

I will add it to the list for the next debate on barriers for disabled people

Question for #NHS consultants. When a new patient is being inducted into a consultant-led service, isn't it usually a registrar or speciality doctor that does the initial examination and patient history? Our members are reporting that PAs are increasingly taking over this role.

i’m in the airport and i just used the disabled access queue (which i am well within my rights to do as a multiply-disabled person) and had a middle-aged woman in the queue to the side tutting about it “not being fair”. i’d usually let comments like this go over my head but…

Our medically qualified member was seen in an interdisciplinary NHS clinic. She saw a variety of HCPs and all the duties were appropriate for the person carrying them out. But, jarringly, the Physician Associate (PA) was wrongly and misleadingly referred to as a 'junior doctor'.

Buckinghamshire Disability Service BuDS Sadly Di's Uncle Mick died on Thursday. Yes he was older, his health wasn't great but that doesn't negate the fact he died of Covid.
Post Covid really means we're OK with some people being expendable. Loved people like Mick. Too high a cost in my book.

Mine is my wife B, in the background + without her love, patience + support mentally, emotionally + physically I couldn’t do what I do

Avoid using images of big blocks of text. Using actual text instead of images of text will help screen reader users, but also will help people with reading disabilities. Using actual text helps users who need to adjust the text's font, color, size, and alignment.
