I want to engage this question earnestly, b/c it’s a legit question. The answer is yes, I do look at left, too. Left-wing activists are responsible for 2% of murders committed by political extremists in the US over the past decade; right-wing activists are responsible for 74%.

Very excited to rally the Portland running community together to support this work, push ourselves through conversation, and continue to redefine the sport we love! If you’re near Portland please put Monday January 23rd on your calendar. 7pm at the one and only Powell’s Books!

Historic Day: Tomorrow Amby Burfoot will attempt to finish his 60th consecutive #ManchesterRoadRace, a streak he started in 1963. Burfoot, the former editor of Runner's World, won this classic #Thanksgiving race 9 times from 1968 through 1977. Fittingly he was given bib #1

My pick in the Relay conversation about who’s going to make the 2024 marathon trials. This kid doesn’t care what the distance is, he just crushes.

Discussing marathoning my brother brought up this scene from No Country For Old Men and I don’t think much captures its essence better. “A man would have to put his soul at hazard. And he’s have to say, okay, I’ll be part of this world.”

1st: don’t do this. But 2nd: I love how the runner in the white singlet immediately goes to stop his watch, before checking on anyone 😂

" Maybe that's why we cry at marathon finish lines. Not for good or for bad, but for the honesty of the moment as we stand on that day." (by Peter Mancini Bromka)

Hey Trials of Miles Racing what are the chances you’d host a marathon this spring on that burner of a course where you hosted previously. An army of Tracksmith athletes would be there in a snap. The spring is sadly void of truly quick marathons. It’s be great! 🔥🔥🔥🔥

I can never tell if Bari Weiss thinks we’re all dumb or if that’s just her shtick. Performative outrage with an agenda. Her writing doesn’t read as genuine.

I was on Twitter before Musk, and hope to be well after he’s gone, but for now I’m outta here cause I can’t support his bro-tastic-clown-town-troll-fest. ✌️
