This is a month of notifications of being closed in . It’s been this way each month since the freeze on casual staff hiring last summer.

What will the political parties do to
(a) fix this problem and
(b) maintain the city’s service?

We’ve had a tough few years for ’s . The last 2 council administrations stirred up a hornets’ nest by wanting to cull the city’s libraries

Bristol Green Party (the favourites to run Bristol) are NOT sounding too positive about improving or even maintaining Libraries

We know that Labour have been understaffing libraries and leading to weeks of closures.

Greens want to create ‘community hubs’ to save money. This inevitably means reducing space and capacity for libraries.

No longer are they spaces worthy of existing on their own.
