For many of our Cops it will be their first #NottingHillCarnival this weekend…👀 So a little checklist: ✅ Check all your kit is in your public order bag *today*. 👀 ✅ Charge up your battery pack. ⚡️ ✅ Buy yourself a few treats for when the day is long and your blood sugar

Lots of you are rather tired & burnout out in the run up to the weekend…🫡 I think most of us in Front Line Policing are to be honest with you. If you’re running a PSU or PSUs over the weekend please do what you can to give everyone down time, it’s needed. ✅ #ThinBlueLine 🚨

The thing with socials, as I’ve said for some time now, is you have to pay attention to them…👀 1.1 Million views and it’s still sat there, now admittedly there’s no harm here, even Specsavers have rightly joined in, but it makes the point doesn’t it? Stay on top of it! 🤷🏼‍♂️🚨

There’s a long weekend ahead for many of London’s Cops…🎉 I’d like to take this opportunity to say how proud I am to know & work with them at a time of such challenge & complexity. 🫡 What an incredible group of people; doing what they can to keep others safe. #ThinBlueLine 🚨

We work with a lot of partners during #NottingHillCarnival, by far the most important are our London Ambulance Service & St John Ambulance England colleagues who keep the public & us safe… 🚑 Just like everyday in #London we couldn’t Police without you, thank you for all you do! #ThinBlueLine 🚨

Thinking of our London Fire Brigade colleagues now dealing with a second fire in a tower block in #Blackwall, whilst still dealing with last night’s fire in #Dagenham… 🚒 Incredibly brave work & a job I could never do, credit and thanks to them all for keeping us safe. #ThinRedLine 🚨

As light falls at #NottingHillCarnival our colleagues continue to work hard to keep the peace and prevent offences…🚨 Cops and Police Staff from most departments, from CTSFOs to SOCOs are deployed to deal with incidents as they happen. 🫡 A long evening ahead. #ThinBlueLine 🚨

It won’t be said by anyone else, so thank you…👀 Thank you to the Level 3s, who should have been on their response teams or in their neighbourhoods. 🫡 Thank you to the Level 2s, the most overworked and undervalued part of The Met, perhaps they’ll review that £50 a year bonus?

There’s some simple reasons I’d imagine no one has applied to be the Humberside Police Chief…👀 You can’t to more with less. You can’t do more without experience. You can’t attract better without benefits. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Why apply knowing that that’s what you’ll be told to do? #ThinBlueLine 🚨

One of the best portrayals of a Detective, worn down by his work, comes from the great Morgan Freeman as Detective Somerset in the iconic ‘SE7EN’…💀 ‘Ernest Hemingway once wrote; "The world is a fine place & worth fighting for." I agree with the second part.’🕵🏾‍♂️ #ThinBlueLine 🚨

I think it’s really important to remind the public that just because Cops deal with traumatic incidents everyday, it doesn’t mean that we’re used to them, or forget about the victims. I know Cops across the Capital are shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of the two

We make some funny decisions. Reading that we will be shrinking our National Volunteer Police Cadets contingent is very sad to read. Not only do I have some excellent colleagues who were Cadets, it’s an amazing tool to reach out to young Londoners. A real shame in my opinion. 😔 #ThinBlueLine 🚨

I’m not personally surprised there’s been a rise in Police Officers reporting sick with ill Mental Health. 🤷🏼‍♂️ This time three years ago I had to do exactly that. #PTSD really hits you hard. I think instead, stigma has changed and we have a generation more willing to open up

One of the biggest realisations after a few years in The Job was how lucky we are to have our friends & family. 😅 They’re used to us not knowing what day of the week it is. 😂 Being late. Working on birthdays. Having to plan 3 months in advance. You mean the world to us. 🫡 🚨

I was reminded the other night, that there is a very supportive, silent majority, who are incredibly grateful for what we do…👀 As we took over on Night Duty I saw there was an outstanding call on the list from earlier in the afternoon. Late Turn had simply run out of units
