I’m so impressed by the ability of #Ottawa2020 to transform the conference on short notice to accommodate both live and remote attendees and presenters. Feels like the way of the future....

#MedEd researchers: if u use a survey as ur study outcome, PLEASE tell readers something abt where the survey items came from, how u reviewed them, & how u otherwise pretested the tool prior to use. Survey research can & must be rigorous to have meaning & be useful! JGME

Woohoo, new article out 📢 🥳 @KylieFitz01 Brett Vaughan & I did some work together investigating developing students' evaluative judgement through multiple sources of feedback: fohpe.org/FoHPE/article/… Published open access in FoHPE Journal

@KylieFitz01 Brett Vaughan FoHPE Journal A very pilot study which suggests that self and peer assessments do impact on students' development of evaluative judgement. Some interesting side quests for us as well about how peer assessment was perceived across the teaching term.

@KylieFitz01 Brett Vaughan FoHPE Journal If you are ever worried about how long it will take to publish your research, we started talking about this in 2018, collected the data that year and had a draft ready mid-2019 but it has taken several (very sad) journal rejections before we found a home for it earlier this year.
