Big production upgrades from Statistics Canada in their model-based ests for #Harvest22 (put together in July) They note good conditions for AB & MB, but drier conditions for Sask (I read as potential for ⬇️yields from 1st est, which, FWIW, are usually on high side) #OATT #CDNAG

This load of wheat will make ~72,720 1lb loaves of bread. I get~.19/lb. It’s shipped, cleaned, ground into flour, shipped to bakers, shipped from bakers to wholesalers and retailers with carbon tax applied at every stage of the process. Ends up being 2.75/lb. Value added right?
