If you work in beef or forage extension (...I like you already...) and have an idea for an extension project that could benefit beef producers across Canada but need resources to make it happen, take a look at this. ⬇️⬇️⬇️ x.com/beefresearch/s…

I’m collecting ideas from beef producers across Canada about how to make incremental changes to increase profits on farms and ranches. Add your thoughts in the comment section below this article: beefresearch.ca/blog/fiveperce…

Beef producers, if you improved your productivity, price and costs each by 2%, you'd make approximately $6,500 more per 100 cows per year. If your productivity, price and costs each slipped by 2%, every calf would be a loss. More on incremental changes: beefresearch.ca/blog/fiveperce…

Frost and freezes may be more significant Tuesday and especially Wednesday in the #Canada #Prairies. Many negative single digits lows are possible

Are you a canfax.ca/Main.aspx member? Yesterday's weekly report has some great stuff on cow/calf cost of production, calf marketing and culling decisions during a feed shortage. The $150 membership will be WAAAAY less than the cost of maintaining 1 cow this winter...

Here it is people. The plebiscite to decide the future funding of our industry is officially a go! This is an important decision. Make your voice heard and vote! Encourage your fellow producers to do the same!

3 consecutive days of very cold temps can “shock” the plant enough that translocation stops essentially creating a killing frost, without the killing frost. In other words, sudden temps below 4 degrees C for 3 days leave the plants simply “frozen in time” realagriculture.com/2018/09/frustr…
