We are geographers! Tutsan Class engaged in identifying features of rivers and gauging the relief of the land, using contour lines.

Some snaps from last week's welly walk! 📸Key Stage 1 were exploring the local area and looking for human and natural features. We then made maps with keys of the Breamore marsh - some budding cartographers!

Last day of the half term treat! Pomegranates, dragon fruit, and melon. Fair to say we weren’t too impressed with the dragon fruit 🐉

Rosehip have been encouraging each other to be resilient when things are tough. They’ve created this lovely tin of messages for each other during our Roots lesson today.

What a fantastic day of outdoor learning Y1 & 2 had today at Blashford Lakes! We created maps, found creatures pond dipping, watched birds and sorted litter. Thanks to the staff there! Hampshire & IOW Wildlife Trust Marine

Years 1 & 2 welcomed lots of parents to their special Forest School workshare yesterday! The children loved sharing their project 'Do we always appreciate what we've got?' They made fat ball bird feeders, food chains, bird watching and hid animals in a camouflaged home!

KS1 had a special visit from Percy the Park Keeper this morning! He talked to us about looking after our local environments. The children told him about protecting habitats and creatures in the New Forest too. Thank you for visiting Percy!

Can you fool your senses? KS1’s science this week was an investigation to find out! They had to guess what flavour each water was after seeing and smelling it. They found it was quite difficult! Which one do you think is the watermelon or strawberry flavour?

The children in Year 1 & 2 were given their own pet whale to look after in Whole Class Reading today. We're reading #TheStormWhale by Benji Davies where the main character, Noi, finds a stranded whale and looks after it. Our whales love being read to! #reading

As part of their Special Books unit in RE, Ruth from Avon Valley Churches spoke to us about why the Bible is special to her and other Christians. We made bookmarks after learning that we are ALL special! Diocese of Winchester
