Just returned from one of my favourite places Botley Hill, after our first restaurant dining experience since the start of lockdown 1. It was absolutely splendid as usual: fantastic food with superb and friendly service - it (almost) felt like we were back to normal.

This path from Botley Hill to Tatsfield is stunning, whatever the weather. It’s a little bit tucked away and well off the usual dog walking/running/walking routes. But I reckon it has some of the best views from the North Downs in East Surrey/West Kent.

Botley Hill Farmhouse, Titsey, on the North Downs in Surrey: originally a 16th century farmhouse, now the highest pub in SE England. Popular with diners. Real ales are from the separately owned Titsey brewery.

A note to anyone coming out to the Bec Hill Climb tomorrow we have scaled the event down so no tea & cakes this year but please head down to Botley Hill farmhouse near @titseybrewingco to get your refreshments. The Carnival will return Next Year we promise.
