To pay Stormy, Donald ordered his team
- to create a shell company
- to come up with fake names for the agreement
- to come up with fake invoices for repaying Cohen

NOT to hide it from Melania.

This was to hide it from campaign finance regulators, journalists, and all of us.

I mean this claim is patently false, but even still: ‘we only profited a bit from the enslavement of 3.5 million humans and the murder of 700,000 of them’ is not quite the flex she thinks it is.

The two Trump judges in the majority are really thumbing their noses at the Supreme Court right now. SCOTUS’ decision last year in Allen v. Milligan made clear that the Voting Rights Act requires a majority-Black district like this. Now this court claims it’s unconstitutional!

🚨Former President Trump has tried and will try again if elected to stock the federal workforce with party loyalists.

His actions would weaponize the civil service for political gain and endanger our democracy.

A person applying for any job in the federal establishment will be asked if they’ve ever engaged in activities designed to overthrow the US government by force—and rejected out of hand if they have. Trump is applying for most powerful job and he does it as a matter of habit.

Great paper this afternoon by Steve Sarson, current International Center for Jefferson Studies fellow, previewing his UVA Press book on the U.S. Declaration of Independence. (Steve & I determined that we first met in Swansea in 1995!) His book's going to be great! As a bonus, Mike Klapka was at the seminar!

It's all such BS. Biden never promised anyone that there wouldn't be any college protests during his Presidency. He's not a dictator. He tried to get things back to normal by not being a f*cking maniac every day, getting people vaccines, and lessening financial hardship. He's

1. Perhaps THE central political attack leveled against Biden by Trump and his allies is that there is a 'migrant crime wave.'

Trump calls it 'Biden's Border Bloodbath'

There is a deception that is flatly contradicted by actual crime data.

Follow along for receipts

If you ever thought academia is not the real world, consider the implications of City College students getting beaten by police on 137th st because the president of Columbia invited them to
to clear out 116th. One thing i know: we at CUNY will disproportionately pay the price.

French Revolution historians, help me understand your ways! Did the Brunswick Manifesto (July 1792) have a significant impact on French politics, helping to cause the insurrection of 10 August? It's certainly a convenient narrative device. (1/4?)

We just passed a significant anniversary in Jamaican history - the 20 April 1740 treaty between British officials and a group of Maroons who had liberated themselves from slavery and kept their freedom under the leadership of a woman named Nanny.
