Nursery had lots of fun exploring the big woods this week. They talked to the educators about what will keep them safe while in the big woods discussing that they need to use their eyes to watch where they are going and that the educators had to be able to see them.

Nursery have enjoyed this lovely weather outside over the last few days. They have enjoyed having some bubbles out, using their gross motor skills to chase after them and trying to pop them using their fine motor skills.

At assembly our Junior Community Council members gave the whole school an update on the last meeting they attended!

With this beautiful weather we took our lunch art club outside this week to get creative! So impressed with our young artists! 🧑‍🎨 ☀️ 🖼️

Very proud of our Borrowfield School pupils that attend montroserfc. They all received a medal for being great team players, for being respectful and for always trying their best 💚🖤💚

Nursery have been learning all about using simple directions while using technology. They had to move the robot using the controller moving the blue up and down buttons to go forwards and backwards. They also made an obstacle course for the robot to move on.

Nursery had a very important job in releasing our butterflies into the garden with Stewart and Debs.They gave us lots of information about how some butterflies wings are camouflaged so other animals can’t see them and that they have long tongues to collect the pollen from flower

Nursery had lots of fun taking part in sports day this afternoon. They took part in a running race, sack race, egg and spoon race and a hoop race. They all did a fantastic job and got a special medal at the end! Well done nursery!

We at Borrowfield were very lucky today to get a visit from Scotland and Rangers footballer John Soutter. He congratulated the football team on a league and couple double & gave them some crucial words of wisdom. Hopefully a good omen for the game tonight 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👏

We welcome back the nursery children after a long summer holidays, they have been enjoying the nice weather by exploring the garden outside. They have loved the sand to build sandcastles and rolling balls down the slopes they created.

At Nursery this week we have been very busy exploring our senses. They have had lots of fun playing with ice using their sense of touch to feel the ice. Some of the children were eager to talk to the educators about the ice, “It’s cold!” , “It melted cus’ I have hot hands.”

The nursery have been learning all about how to wash their hands so they can become germ busters. They have discussed why they should wash their hands and when they should wash them throughout the day. Well done to all the children for being germ busters.

The nursery had a lovely surprise yesterday as we found 7 hedgehogs in the garden. They took care of them, watching over them and moved them to a place to stay with the help of Stewart. Scottish SPCA 🐾 very kindly took the hedgehogs to a safe space In the afternoon

Lawson came in today with his end of treatment beads after his magical moment where he got to ring his bell. Each bead symbolises a part of his journey and he is an inspiration to all of us at Borrowfield 🌟
