What a fabulous sight to see. We've arrived at Tegg's Nose and had a fabulous welcome from Macclesfield's Charlie Watch, including pulled pork baps with apple sauce and stuffing. Thanks guys.

We're nearing home territory. If any Bollingtonians would like to meet us up by White Nancy, we'll be there in about an hour πŸ‘¨β€πŸš’πŸ‘¨β€πŸš’

Jack and Tom are on the last leg now. 8 miles from Bollington to the finish line at Disley. For this last stint, they have been joined by their mascot and training buddy, Lucky the rescue dog. πŸ•

They did it! A tough last few miles with awful weather but finished with heads held high. Thanks to everyone who supported the team, special thanks to Charlie Watch at Macclesfield and of course, thanks to everyone who has donated. Donations are still open orlo.uk/Uu0FN

What can we say..? The total amount donated (so far) to our Gritstone Trail hike now stands at an impressive Β£3488. This is a huge help to The Firefighters Charity. Thank you once again to all who have supported us, you are awesome πŸ‘Œ πŸ‘¨β€πŸš’πŸ”₯πŸ’ͺπŸš’orlo.uk/M85Gl

One week since Jack & Tom completed their Gritstone Trail hike and the total raised is Β£4080, more than double the target. Huge thanks to every who has donated. We lost 3 valued CFRS colleagues to cancer in the last year. The FF Charity's support to families was invaluable. πŸš’

Today we lose CM Chris Plant who is retiring on his 60th birthday after 12 years as a firefighter at Bollington. He recieved a presentation from CFO Alex Waller and then, typical of the man, spent his last day on a training exercise! Good luck Planty, you're leaving big hole.

Firefighters from Nantwich Fire Station, Bollington Fire Station and Lymm Fire Station rescued a cow that was stuck in mud in Tarporley. The crews first had to clear shrubbery to reach the stuck animal and then use specialist equipment to bring her to safety. For more information πŸ‘‰ orlo.uk/xn4P2

In Cheshire over a recent two-year period there were 1,058 motorcyclist casualties, 34% of whom were killed or seriously injured. The roads in our area are great for biking, but please take care while enjoying a ride out in the sunny weather orlo.uk/Yt6Nj

If you came to our open day on Saturday, you might have seen two scrap cars painted up and being used for a hose aiming game. Tonight they were used for a more serious purpose - road traffic collision training. πŸš’πŸš”πŸš‘

Residents in the Adelphi Mill area of Bollington may spot some fire appliances πŸš’ πŸš’ in the mill car park from 6.30pm today. This is a training exercise, so there is no cause for alarm. Thanks to Adelphi Mill Properties for allowing us to use their site to train our crews πŸ™Œ .

Photos from last night's training exercise at Adelphi Mill. We tested our response to an illegal dumping and leak of a toxic chemical. #bollingtonfire #needmore

This month, our crews took part in a wildfire exercise with Lancs Fire and Rescue Service, putting their training into practice. It was a great opportunity to work with other fire and emergency service partners, sharing learning and strengthening our skills and knowledge.

We welcomed Bollington Pre-School to the fire station today! We had some great questions, including why don’t we have a helicopter like Fireman Sam and whether there’s a Naughty Norman in Bollington. Two little boys were especially excited to see where their daddies work. πŸš’πŸ”₯
