Seemed like months before Gooey finally stopped behind a shadowed pillar in the throne room. Quietly letting go of Bandana Waddle Dee, was he really this stealthy? Must be by chance that he hid by a pillar that would keep the trio well hidden. Hold up… where was Marx anyways?

"Y'know I've been closely studying the art of caterpillars… I wanna be a butterfly!"

"Especially after that one butterfly knight guy. I wanna fuse like that! From here on out I will become one with the caterpillar." Now he's ducking. Gooey must be as flat as possible to make this work.

Now on his way to accomplish his journey of feasting before chrysalis. Might take a while to learn how to wiggle about.

Oof...think I mighta ate too much. [There are pizza boxes all over the castle floor.]

Nothing like completely devouring some pizza boxes scattered across the floor. They all had a bit of cheese still, which was considered nourishing to this little caterpillar.

BZZZZZZZZZT! Gooey was zapped upon sticking his tongue into the socket.

He was able to pull it away but Gooey was in a sort of daze. He was mumbling incoherently.
