Wakefield took home the 4-A NAC VI conference tournament title on Friday with a 3-1 win over Wake Forest. Brooke Masingale and Kensley Harrison's 6th-inning homers gave the Wolverines the win, while pitcher Dayna Bland had 10 Ks.

Wakefield softball advanced to the fourth round of the NCHSAA 4-A playoffs for the first time in program history, beating Garner 5-1. Dayna Bland allowed just one hit and struck out 10, while also going 2 for 3 at the plate with a double.
