Lawmakers gavel in Monday. Will we see CON reform, school choice expansions or a further reduction in taxes? georgiapolicy.org/news/georgias-…

WATCH: In Georgia, the government is standing in the way of Katie Chubb opening her birthing center to serve the women of Augusta. It doesn’t have to be this way. Join the fight to repeal these outdated, big government #CON laws at endtheconga.com. #gapol #EndTheCON

If you have not yet heard Katie Chubb’s story, you need to. With one of the worst infant mortality rates in the nation, Augusta has a critical need for more birthing centers. #CON laws have prevented these services from being offered to women of Augusta. This needs to change.

Yesterday a US scientist advises putting salt in tea, then the US Embassy suggests using a microwave to heat it. A bad day for special relations. What will America recommend today, we wonder? Onions in a bowl of cereal? Mustard on Jaffa Cakes?

Check out my latest op-ed in the AJC. Georgians’ zip code shouldn’t determine their access to quality healthcare. #gapol ajc.com/opinion/opinio…

A Georgian’s zip code shouldn’t determine their access to healthcare. Tell your lawmaker to put patients back in the driver’s seat of their own healthcare and repeal #CON. ➡️ endtheconga.com #gapol #EndTheCON

KEY. VOTE. ALERT. HB1339 will be on the Senate Floor today to reform #CON in Georgia. Call your Senator TODAY and tell them to vote YES in support of quality healthcare options for mothers like Katie. #EndTheCON #gapol

I can tell you stories about why Albany, GA has only one hospital now, rather than the two we had, and they all revolve around the certificate of need system. Now, there's no competition for most of our healthcare needs and we're supposed to be glad for this? No, end CON now!

It still blows me away how a single group of unknown bureaucrats can make such critical decisions on Healthcare availability in our communities. This needs to END. Please call your legislator and urge them to support ending CON! The bill is up today! #gapol #EndTheCON

CON affects so many, and HB1339 as passed by the Senate would allow Katie Chubb, and other professionals like her, to give moms-to-be more options on where and how they bring their babies into this world.  Any compromise legislation must #EndTheCON for freestanding birth

ICYMI: The Georgia House and Senate voted to pass #CON reform thus expanding access to birthing centers and hospitals 🔥 This is a win for moms-to-be in the Peach State! #gapol #EndTheCON Augusta Birth Center americansforprosperity.org/afp-ga-applaud…

After much study and debate, both chambers have passed a bill that will end CON for several categories of service—including free standing birth centers. I hope in another year Augusta Birth Center and many other providers will be on their way to opening and serving Georgians in need.

The bill doesn’t go as far as I or many would like, but this is a day to celebrate. We’ll continue to educate Georgians and support legislative champions so we can one day fully #EndTheCon . Cheers to freedom y’all🥂

For decades, CON laws have represented a barrier to expanding quality healthcare. This legislative session, we took a step towards reforming CON in Georgia and alleviating the roadblocks Georgians face in their efforts to receive accessible and quality healthcare. #gapol
