As the MAB ends, members of Birkbeck UCU can be proud of their commitment, their acts of solidarity with one another, their determination to resist pressure from management. La luta continua.

It is deeply hurtful to hear HR extend "thanks and appreciation to staff who have not, and will not, be participating in this industrial action". The MAB was part of lawful dispute undertaken by some of the most committed educators Birkbeck employs.

Absolutely no need for scare quotes in this headline.
