This is why we need STRONGER regulations to control misleading marketing by the #formula industry, not weaker ones! The regs exist to protect the health of all infants & young children, however they are fed. Wes Streeting MP Andrew Gwynne MP Preet Kaur Gill MP Fleur Anderson MP BFLG-UK Obesity Health Alliance

🔑 issues with regulations (as Competition & Markets Authority point out) are the loopholes created by infant formula marketing being more tightly restricted than follow on formula & growing up milks, and very poor enforcement.

Competition & Markets Authority Anyway, delighted to hear Competition & Markets Authority will release an interim report for consultation in October, to which we will respond. One step closer to actions to address the unjustifiably high cost of formula - a matter we’ve been advocating on since 2018.
