Great mornings work, thanks to #BenthicBecky and Emma for a really well run and highly successful clean up at Howick. Nice to see some new faces too. #MakeaDifference #CheekyProductPlacement for Barking Mad Northumberland too 😘
Today, we deployed a box corer (a first for Rebecca Howman 🥳). We will measure benthic fluxes and even bioturbation rates. These measurements will enhance our understanding of the contribution of the benthos to #Carbon and #Nitrogen cycles, including #GHG production.Réseau Québec maritime
At #NereisPark , talk by Rebecca Howman on compound effects of acidification, warming and hypoxia - think within future climate context a key message.
Starting the journey to Nuuk with Prof. Martin Solan Jasmin Godbold Rebecca Howman OceanEarthUniSoton 𓇼⛴🦭
After a great time at Université Laval with Philippe Archambault, heading home with new projects involving Tom Williams and Rebecca Howman on benthic biodiversity and functioning. We will be back soon, thanks all for your time and energy this week. UK in Canada 🇬🇧🇨🇦 NERC Arctic Office ArcticNet
Going to be establishing a long term UK-Greenland research capacity to address the effects of anthropogenic stressors on benthic ecosystems, funded by NERC Arctic Office, with Tom Williams, Rebecca Howman, Andy Cundy, Jasmin Godbold and working with members of GCRC.
Our work on Armandia cirrhosa, a species of conservation importance considered for translocation to restore lost populations across southern UK lagoonal systems, just funded by Natural England. Working with Rebecca Howman to establish survivorship and functional role of species.
Arrived in Nuuk for GreenlandScienceWeek, to showcase our work on the effects on contamination on high latitude benthic community functioning made possible with support from NERC Arctic Office & collaboration with GCRC. Tom Williams Jasmin Godbold Rebecca Howman David Blockley, Andy Cundy
This protected species - Armandia cirrhosa - is only known from two locations in the UK - we are working with Natural England to understand its ecology in the hope we can remove this species from the endangered list. Great ongoing work by Rebecca Howman, Tom Williams and Adam J. Reed
A chance to #Makeadifference working with the AWESOME #ItsanAdventureAnna in #BenthicBecky s great team in the UKs best holiday destination. Beaches & Moors, Rivers and their Estuaries, Rocks and Crags we've got it all.
So proud of this lot at #Nereispark . Excellent talks and great discussions. We had a great week! Trystan Sanders Tom Williams Rebecca Howman Isabelle Cooper Amber Annett Prof. Martin Solan Dr Alison Cribb Clement Garcia UoS OES MBERG

For a well earned rest between Xmas and 2019 #BenthicBecky & #ItsanAdventureAnna .
Let's hope that in 2019 we continue to see Coast Care North s #Volunteers #makeadifference in increasing numbers.

Going to be playing a small role looking at the spatial distribution of benthic bioturbation here with Rebecca Howman and Philippe Archambault this summer.

Just arriving in Greenland on a NERC Arctic Office funded trip to establish new research capacity and infrastructure to understand benthic responses to climate change. Here with Rebecca Howman, Tom Williams, Jasmin Godbold and Andy Cundy. livescience.com/greenland-glac…
