What a quote, by George Bernard Shaw, recited wonderfully in this video.
A joyful life is one that belongs to the #community . If you see life as an opportunity to leave something to the next generation, then hard work is meaningful and purposeful.
The 'Pro' confusion (part 4 of 4)
#Vulnerability is a strength, not a weakness
Vulnerability is expressing who we really are, think and feel, inc. positives and negatives
If we are not vulnerable, others can't:
- Truly connect with us
- Get our perspective
- See our potential
The 'Pro' confusion (part 3 of 4) #Transparency enhances professionalism.
Employees get:
- Better team spirit
- A safe space for feedback
- Less stress
Managers get:
- More empathy with staff
- Better visibility of problems
Transparency fits businesses to the needs of people
The 'Pro' confusion (part 1 of 4)
Being #professional does not mean to show only our strengths and hide our weaknesses at work. Antidotes:
1) We are #humans before professionals
2) #Transparency enhances professionalism.
3) #Vulnerability is a strength rather than a weakness
Building a #CompanyCulture where discussing failure is the norm:
- Fosters trust among staff
- Reduces hierarchy
- Enhances employee introspection (and the equivalent at a company level)
- Raises awareness of mistakes
- Improves understanding of problems
- Finds right solutions
Your #businessphilosophy are the principles guiding decisions. While it is your company's essence, it is also easily forgotten.
Don't be like governments that punish the burnt of their flag more harshly than the destruction of their land. Don't forget what your company truly is.
Redefining #Sales from “# of people who paid for the product” to “number of people whose problems were solved” would boost:
1. #Loyalty : customers would feel valued
2. #Reputation : + word of mouth
3. #CustomerService : Fewer returns
4. #EmployeeExperience : helping > just selling
Solely finding a “gap in the market” isn't responsible. We should focus on addressing unmet needs, not just fulfilling every demand that individuals have. Just because you want something doesn't mean it's best for you. Examples? Junk food, sex, etc. #responsibleentrepeneurship
The #entrepreneur stigma: many people will see you as an overly ambitious person who takes risks recklessly and prioritizes profit over social good. There's also a stereotype that your path is glamorous and successful, when in reality, it's filled with challenges and failures
Among playwrights, there exists a subset of extraordinary individuals: impactful #entrepreneurs . These visionaries not only shape their own destinies but also impact the faith of others. Some wield this power for good and positive change. Yet, others succumb to darker impulses.
