This begs another question of course. Both the Chancellor and the Prime Minister have explicitly denied having seen any impact assessment. Either they’ve lied, they’re disturbingly incurious and haven’t asked, or the civil service has hidden it from them. Which is it?

This would be a dreadful mistake. God knows the Levelling Up process & decision-making was a total bourach. But in the end it promised some long-overdue transformational investment in communities like Drumchapel. Are The Labour Party really going to invest *less* than the Tories?!

On Thursday, I moved a motion on behalf of Glasgow SNP Group, condemning the cuts made by the new UK Government. Labour's decision to continue Tory Austerity and freeze our pensioners is unacceptable. The SNP will fight them every step of the way!

It has been said many times before, but it's important that people don't lose sight of this... The winter fuel allowance was £300 a year. Turning up in the House of Lords is £361 a day, tax-free.
