Weight focused approach: I don’t feel good at this size. I need to lose weight so I can feel better. Health at Every Size: I don’t feel good. What do I feel like I can shift to support my body BETTER? Movement, rest, sleep, relationship with food. No weight change expectation.

One of the worst things you can do when someone is speaking about trauma they’ve experienced is devalue what they have to say with your irrelevant opinion. Listen, learn, and act in a way to be a better person toward them and everyone else around you.

Stop glorifying and praising eating disorders for people in larger bodies. Restricting is dangerous and harmful for people in ALL size bodies.

please let 2020 be the year we normalize therapy. we’re ALL going to need therapy after this year.

In dedicating our lives to shrinking our bodies, we are shrinking our lives, our voices, and our power. I want so much more for us. Fight for bravery, not safety.

The BMI is garbage & malnourishment happens at ANY size so yup, weight gain is often essential for people in larger bodies with eating disorders. It’s okay to gain weight even if society & ED treatment tells you that you shouldn’t. You deserve full freedom and healing. 💗

If you’ve ever looked at an old picture and been PERPLEXED as to how you could have hated your body *then* — you’ve experienced firsthand proof that BODY IMAGE STRUGGLES are not actually about what your body looks like. They’re about your RELATIONSHIP to your body (and yourself).

If you’re a fitness professional, know that you’re working with clients that have eating disorders.

What if you decided to live the life you wanted right now instead of waiting on weight? Wear the clothes,date the person,take that class. Live the life you want to be living NOW. Do things that bring you joy & pleasure. Don’t wait on weight. You deserve it all and more now.💗
