I was pleased to attend Age UK’s Spring Reception in Parliament earlier this week. Their new campaign, Act Now, Age Better, encourages us to think about changing how we age. I even took time to #ActNowAgeBetter myself by doing some exercise in their living room "gym"!

Today, I spoke in Emily Darlington MP's Westminster Hall debate in support of Government funding for Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance. With 1.5 million children still dying from vaccine-preventable diseases, the UK must show leadership and ensure that immunisation remains a funding priority.

This week, I met with young people and the Teenage Cancer Trust Trust to deliver their letter to the Department of Health and Social Care. #AndYoungPeople is calling for children and young people to be included in the National Cancer Plan, ensuring their voices are listened to.

Today, I attended the North Area Borough Commander's Commendation Ceremony in Alexandra Palace. It was wonderful to recognise the hard work & bravery shown by members of the police force in #Enfield & #Haringey when going above & beyond to keep residents safe. Well done all! 🏅

It was wonderful to attend Soccer Aid for UNICEF's parliamentary reception this week ahead of the big day in June. The reception is a testament to the generosity of the UK public & the power of UK aid in providing life-saving support to the world’s most disadvantaged children.

Great piece by Nobel laureate Joseph E. Stiglitz on the damaging effects of unsustainable debt on developing countries. This is why my Bill, which would help developing countries tackle their debt by impelling private creditors to come to the table & negotiate, is so important.

Productive meeting yesterday with representatives from Britanya Alevi Federasyonu and the Syrian Alawite Association in Britain. It was harrowing to hear the extent of the crisis as attacks on minorities continue. The Government must put pressure on the Syrian administration to intervene.
