Great to be at the official opening of Nilgun Canver Court named in honour of the former Haringey councillor. The 80 council homes part funded by Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan will house local people at affordable council rents. A fitting tribute to Nilgun. Well done to all who made this happen
It was an absolute delight to hear the year 4 & 5 students perform the finale of their 30 week music programme in the East Court of Alexandra Palace. Well done to everyone at Haringey Music Service and all the schools who invest in such a brilliant free activity for their students!
Yesterday I had the privilege of attending the Labour Friends of Palestine & the Middle East reception, where I caught up with my friend Husam Zomlot, the Palestinian Ambassador. We spoke about the restoration of UNRWA funding and Labour’s fresh approach to the crisis in Gaza.
Great to be out litter picking in Tower Gardens N17 with Friends of Tower Gardens Park and to hear their ideas for the park and the local area

I will continue to push for a ceasefire, aid and the safety of civilians

Great to catch up with James Ryan, Borough Commander for LFB Enfield at Southgate fire station and to hear about the challenges they are facing. I am pleased to support London Fire Brigade’s #ChargeSafe campaign to prevent fires arising in e-bikes and e-scooters
Met with CAFOD, Debt Justice and Christian Aid to discuss #debtjustice for lower-income countries. It is a systemic failure that 3.3 bn people live in countries that spend more on debt interest repayments, than on health & education. Debt reform has never been more urgent.
Delighted to catch up with my good friend Bambos Charalambous to discuss regional developments and current pressing issues in Iraq and #KRI #KurdistanRegion. We also discussed the bilateral relationship and the continued friendship between our countries, as well as increasing future
