Dr Mike I don't do child protection medicals as a paeds SHO. I won't until I'm a reg, after which I'll have had 3 years direct paeds experience, 1 year locum, 2 years foundation and 4 years GEM. 8 years of training. This is such a vital exam with huge ramifications how is this allowed?

Dr Mike I’ve obviously wasted my time doing a social work degree , a masters and a PhD working safeguarding children. This is such a complex area, it takes special training and experience, but obviously at Alder Hey think someone whose done an unregulated 2 year course is fine !
