In 2019 scientometricians protested against high APC of Elsevier's Journal of Informetrics and founded Quantitative Science Studies; meanwhile Elsevier has shamelessly increased its APC by another 50% to $3240, which is 4-5 times as high as APC of QSS ($600 for ISSI members, $800 for non-members)

🥳Officially finished. I am a slow starter and really got stuck in the first two years. Somehow, I successfully completed this journey and achieved some outcomes. Everything's coming up roses. 🙂

🥳Attended 7 conferences and (co-)authored 15 papers, of which 9 published. Tutored 11 different IS and data science courses (18x). Reviewed papers for related journals and served as an ASIS&T officer. Completed 2 summer internships and 2 years working in a data science position.

We are announcing our annual workshop METSTI 2024 collaborated with ASIS&T SIG STI. We welcome all in-progress, early-stage, or published works that are related to #scisci, #scientometrics, and #bibliometrics. The workshop will be held in November 2024 as separate online sessions.
