Did you know that the cost of delivering food by air in #SouthSudan is $2700 per metric ton while the cost of delivering by river is $300?

That's why WFP uses routes along the #RiverNile and its tributaries to transport food and nutrition supplies, saving $2400 per metric ton.

📣 #SUDAN : The United Nations appeals to conflict parties to allow humanitarian access, particularly in #Khartoum .

🏳️ We also call on those with influence to facilitate the movement of humanitarian aid and personnel to #Darfur , where nearly 9 million people need assistance.
