Frogzilla Orchid in Orkney today! These are a regular, if difficult to find, element of our maritime heath in late summer, and are often very tiny, a centimetre or two tall. This one's an absolute bruiser! Jon Dunn 🇺🇦

A wee snorkel at Arisaig in the NW Highlands brought into view this fabulous seagrass (eelgrass) meadow. Seagrasses are the only flowering plants that live in seawater and pollinate while submerged. #wildflowerhour BSBI: Botanical Society of Britain & Ireland
