A little milestone was reached last night: We fitted an Art Deco-inspired (Gill Sans) sign at Khan’s Bargains, the former Holdrons, on Rye Lane. Beautifully fabricated metal letters are set on a field of 1950s tiles, recently uncovered. Below a lovely tin fluted detail from 1935.

Excellent article in Standard News about restoration of Findlater's Corner at London Bridge. Some v interesting historical photos in the feature. This project has been piloted by architect Benny O'Looney of The Peckham Society and great friend to the WS. standard.co.uk/news/london/fi…

We’ve just got consent for a project to restore & extend the fine, 1906, LCC Plumstead Fire Station. Internal restoration of the Grade ll listed building & a ‘Neo-Geo’ annexe. White & green glazed terracotta lettering - inspired by the Doulton’s Carraraware frieze! #firestations

An amazing early morning on a cherry picker in the gentle rain inspecting the condition of the Doulton’s Carraraware, Baroque Revival Findlaters Corner. The whiskey dealer’s shop marked by a ceramic head. The Monarch of the Glen looking across London Bridge. #EdwardianLondon

Remembrance Day 2021 - someone thoughtfully put flowers around the little war memorial we made on Nunhead Lane & Peckham Rye remembering the 21, mostly young women, killed when a V1 rocket landed on a corset factory, 22nd June 1944. #Peckham#war memorial #PeckhamHeritage #Blitz

A trip to the wonderful Symonds Salvage, Bethersden, Kent for ironmongery for our restoration of the 1920s loos at the Old Waiting Room, Peckham Rye Station. Early 20th century toilet pans. Maximum excitement! Relieve yourself in style when the Artangel exhibition opens in May.

We are trying to bring some west end glamour to Rye Lane by illuminating the wonderfully restored front elevation of Peckham Rye Station. A picture I took last week! linkedin.com/posts/andrew-w…
