I find it remarkable that this article never once mentions local TV broadcast journalism, or even radio, or local digital-only news outlets. It equates "journalism" entirely with newspapers. Local TV news is the healthiest journalism industry today & there are jobs.

This was a few blocks from the old Boston Garden & my father used to tell this story as we walked through the North End. He swore he could smell the molasses when he was a kid.
