Our Fisheries Enforcement Officers carried out joint patrols with Essex Police rural team and Angling Trust VBS in Essex earlier this month at different fisheries. A total of 75 checks were done and 7 anglers were found to be fishing without a rod licence at one venue.

Earlier today, officers used the Proceeds of Crime Act to seize cash from a male that was travelling out of the UK. He had in excess of £10,000 and was unable to explain where the money came from. He will now be asked to explain to a magistrate how he earned the money.
