We close the "course" today with a pilot summer event to re-use the poster presented during the year, share the neuroscience research in our institute and network between colleagues of the Biomedicina BCN building!
Very happy and honored that our ERASE project has been proposed to be funded by the Agencia Estatal de Investigación. 3 exciting years ahead to further investigate the brain substrates of emotion recognition in normal and pathological aging. #PID2024

This week, our PhD student Marc Canela has led a on-site course on DeepLabCut 🦄 in the HMar Research Institute and Biomedicina BCN where students from different institutions could learn why and how to use DLC for behavioral analysis. A good way to close before the summer break!

Together with Marsicano Lab, Juan Pedro Bolaños and Irene Manzanares-Sierra, we took profit of the #SENC2025 in Gran Canaria to have an exciting meeting with updates and interesting findings from our CaixaResearch project, in which we are investigating the psychotic effects of cannabis.
Tomorrow, I will be in Zaragoza participating to a new edition of the Research Career Course organized by the Academia Joven de España. During this course we will discuss about research funding, evaluation, dissemination, ethics, emotional management, among other important topics.
When you start your lab, nobody has taught you how to supervise or overcome multiple difficulties of a PhD. I am happy that today the first PhD from my lab was well defended. Congrats Laura! Many thanks to Carles A. Saura, Ester Aso and Miriam Melis for an inspiring discussion.
