Today is World Suicide Prevention Day. We never know what another is feeling or thinking. Let's reduce stigma and encourage open conversations to prevent suicides #worldsuicidepreventionday2024 Lewisham Council

I am thrilled to hear/see Lewisham Council parks and green spaces getting acknowledged for the hard work that local community groups and volunteers do to ensure that our parks are well maintained and welcoming for all to use! Well done all!

Reminiscing on our prescient & well attended fringe event at Labour Party Conference. Little did we know that Sir Michael Marmot will be publishing his report a week later on the pernicious effects of structural racism on health outcomes. 1/2

Thanks again to all who contributed to our successful inaugural Labour Party Conference Drinks Reception.Great speeches from Calvin Bailey MBE MP, Jessica Toale MP Vaughan Gething Natasha Irons MP Bayo Alaba MP. As UNGA will not clash with Conference next year, we hope David Lammy & team will join.

Great Lewisham Labour team out speaking to residents in #GrovePark tonight, talking to residents and hearing their priorities. Always great to hear so many people backing The Labour Party and already seeing how Labour is delivering for them in government

Carers Rights Day is taking place this Thursday from 10 am to 7 pm at the Glass Mill Leisure Centre. See the attached flyer for more details. Unpaid carers are recognised and valued by me and Lewisham Council #CarersRightsDay Lewisham Council Laura Cunningham

Pin-drop moment in the House of Commons as Florence Eshalomi MP passionately explains why current health inequalities & the risk of coercion means she cannot support the #AssistedDyingBill

Lovely afternoon with this top team campaigning for Cllr Jahdia Spencer in West Thamesmead🌹
